With the gazillion characters that exist in the One Piece universe, it’s no wonder that at some point, we’d all be interested in finding out who our perfect match is — even if it’s an antagonist. And here enter Zodiac signs — the world’s most infallible personality test. Well, more or less.

There are quite a few ways to find out more about yourself. On one hand, you have MBTI, but psychologists say it’s all nonsense. Then, we have blood types, which apparently are a thing in Eastern cultures. But here in the West, we’re far more… astrologically driven. So, if you’re hoping to find the character that best matches your zodiac — and thus, your personality — keep on reading.

Aries – Eustass Kid

Eustass Kid in the Wano arc of One Piece
via Toei Animation

Nothing screams Aries quite like the most impatient character you know — in this case, it’s 100 percent Eustass Kid. The captain of the Kid’s Pirates is incredibly multifaceted, and even with all his temperamental and arrogant personality traits, we can surely see all of his positive characteristics. He’s confident, courageous, and bold, always willing (and hoping) to be the one on the frontline of a fight. If you’re an Aries, congrats, you’re one step away from being Luffy’s “friend.”

Capricorn – Jinbe and Fisher Tiger

Capricorns are arguably some of the best people you’ll ever find — so it’s no surprise that Jinbe and Fisher Tiger perfectly represent Capricorns. This Earth sign is known for being hard-working and practical, and we all know how neither of them has ever given up in the face of adversity. At the same time, we’ve also seen some of Capricorn’s worst traits in Fisher Tiger, as his suspicious and condescending nature surfaces whenever he deals with humans — although we absolutely understand him.

Saggitarius – Luffy

via Toei Animation

If you’re a Sagittarius, congratulations — you’re more like Luffy than you might have noticed. Sagittarians are known for their sense of adventure, always seeking freedom and independence, just like our captain. At the same time, if you’re a Sag, you also relate to Luffy in his selfishness. Despite his inherent need to care for others, his dream comes first and foremost. He’s also overly confident, and while thus far it has worked in his favor, the same might not happen for Sagittarians in the real world without plot armor.

Scorpio – Trafalgar Law or Donquixote Doflamingo

Image of Doflamingo using his devil fruit in Dressrosa, next to an image of Law smiling with his swork
via Toei Animation

Don’t kill me — but Law and Doflamingo are the best matches for a Scorpio. Nothing screams Scorpio quite like a secretive and highly independent character — cue in Law, with his mysterious aura and independent streak. He’s reserved yet driven, just like any true Scorpion. For Scorpio’s worst traits, though, we have Doflamingo with his passion for revenge. At the same time, both Law and Doffy are incredibly loyal — though in entirely different ways.

Leo – Franky

We can just about picture every Leo in our life picking up a guitar and dramatically making a rendition of a made-up emotional song — which is just about the most Franky thing ever. While Franky is not a Leo, he might as well be treated like one because he’s the poster character for any Leo out there: He’s creative, dramatic, slightly egotistic, and very confident in his abilities as a shipwright.

Gemini – Nami or Boa Hancock

Image of Boa Hancock with her eyes closed next to an image of Nami smiling in Wano, One Piece
via Toei Animation

Of course, we’re seeing double with Gemini — the two faces of this zodiac. Hancock is unpredictable, a master manipulator, and overall, she’s a beautiful snob, just like most Gemini. But Nami’s got her fair share of Gemini flair too. She’s wickedly clever, always itching for knowledge on the Grand Line maps, and she’s a legendary quick-wit. They’re both outgoing extroverts and generally, no one in One Piece better matches the Gemini vibes than these two queens.

Pisces – Usopp

Usopp Fishman Island One Piece
Image via Crunchyroll

We’re honestly surprised that Eiichiro Oda didn’t make Usopp a Pisces, after all, he’s practically the poster child for Pisces. Usopp’s emotions run wild, he’s as sensitive as they come, and he’s the one guy who wouldn’t even blink at Perona’s pessimistic ghosts — he practically radiates pessimism. But Pisces isn’t all doom and gloom — Usopp’s got a Piscean’s imagination too, especially when he’s getting creative in battle, or while fixing up the Going Merry in earlier arcs.

Aquarius – Brook and Koby

Image of Brook playing the guitar, next to an image of Koby smiling as an adult, One Piece
via Toei Animation

While you may not think of Brook and Koby’s personalities as being similar, at their core, they’re actually like any Aquarian. Brook’s a musician, and inherently tied to him is creativity and innovation. In Whole Cake, we got to see his altruism shine through as he consistently put his life on the line as Big Mom’s favorite doll. At the same time, a more analytic side of Aquarians is seen in Koby. He’s a progressive humanitarian, individualistic in his beliefs — aiming to become a Marine when no one believed in him — and despite his ranking in One Piece‘s hierarchical society, he’s still a member of SWORD, showing how humane he really is — like a true Aquarian.

Libra – Sanji

Sanji smirking while smoking in One Piece
via Toei Animation

While Sanji might not have been born between October and November, he’s the pitch-perfect example of a romantic Libra. And, of course, no one in One Piece is as romantic (read: a simp) as Sanji. Even amidst his bordering-on exaggerated simping persona, the Straw Hats’ cook still embodies many of Libra’s best traits. He’s fair (unless it involves women, of course), idealistic, and extremely charming — at least from Pudding’s point of view.

Cancer – Chopper and Donquixote Rosinante

Image of Copper looking surprised, next to a picture of Donquixote Risonante aka Corazón, smiling
via Toei Animation

If you’re a Cancer, you might have more in common with Chopper and Risonante than you might think. These two are the epitome of clinginess and emotionality, always sticking close to their favorite friends — yes, I’m talking about Zoro and Law. Chopper is basically the primary carer of the Straw Hats, patching them up more times than we can count. So, if you’re a Cancer, embrace your nurturing, childlike side, because you’re in good company with Chopper and Corazón.

Virgo – Robin

via Toei Animation

If you’re a Virgo, you likely relate to many of Robin’s qualities: She’s kind to her friends, and highly intelligent — she’s quite literally a history buff and an archeology genius. She’s practical and reliable, and even Sanji trusts Robin for help. At the same time, we also know how reserved she can be — cue in Enies Lobby. Over time, though, she’s learned she can trust her friends and rely on them more and more, like an emotionally intelligent Virgo.

Taurus – Roronoa Zoro or Portgas D. Ace

An image of Ace smiling in a flashback, next to an image of Zoro smiling looking at his bounty, One Piece
via Toei Animation

While Zoro may be a Scorpio, his personality screams Taurus through and through. Leave it to the Straw Hats’ right-hand man to be as steadfast and reliable as a bull. His loyalty to Luffy is one of the most iconic friendships in One Piece, and of course, we can’t forget his love for sake and sleeping — just like an overindulgent Taurus. But of course, he’s not the only one. Ace is another perfect Taurus. Stubborn as they come, yet fiercely — and deadly — devoted to his crew and family, just like a true Taurus.

‘My Hero Academia’ season 7 episode 2 release date and time, confirmed https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/my-hero-academia-season-7-episode-2-release-date-and-time-confirmed/ Tue, 07 May 2024 16:26:54 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1691759 Star and Stripe vs Shigaraki part 2 — here we go!]]>

My Hero Academia is back for its seventh season, as viewers prepare to see the much-anticipated Final War Arc animated. With All for One now out of Tartarus and Shigaraki holding all his master’s quirks, the stakes have never been so high.

Season 7 started out strong, with Star and Stripe flying in from the U.S. to aid the Japanese heroes handle this threat in episode 1. When confronted with Shigaraki upon her arrival, though, she didn’t hesitate to engage him in battle using her New Order. Despite having one of the best quirks in the series, Cathleen is fully aware that the villain is not to be taken lightly, and he won’t miss an opportunity to steal her powers. Unfortunately, the episode came to an end before this exciting fight could conclude, but at least that means we have something to look forward to in episode 2.

Shocking revelations, emotionally charged moments, and all-out battles are some of the things still awaiting fans this season, which will adapt the three remaining story arcs of the manga. Trust me, it will be a good (yet stressful) season, and you won’t want to miss even a single episode.

When to watch My Hero Academia season 7 episode 2

My Hero Academia season 7, episode 2 will be released on Saturday, May 11, at 6:30pm JST (4:30am CT). The episode will be broadcast on Japanese networks before making its way to Crunchyroll for streaming purposes. Thus, if you’re currently residing in Japan, you should have no issue watching the second half of Star and Stripe’s battle against Shigaraki as it airs. Those who can only access the episode through streaming platforms will have to wait longer, though, as it should only be available a couple of hours after the broadcast.

As My Hero Academia draws closer to the finish line, tensions are at an all-time high, with the U.A. students and Pro-Heroes banding together again to defeat the League of Villains. Hopefully, this time they will accomplish more than they did in the Paranormal Liberation War.

‘My Hero Academia’: Eri’s age, confirmed https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/my-hero-academia-eris-age-confirmed/ Tue, 07 May 2024 14:32:43 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1691793 She's too young to be involved in this mess.]]>

While folks enjoy My Hero Academia for all kinds of different things, it’s safe to say that interesting characters are one of its best aspects. Sure, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki usually take the spotlight, but Eri is definitely up there in terms of the most lovable characters in the series.

It’s super easy to connect to characters like Eri. She’s sweet, adorable, and frequently pulls on our heartstrings. As if none of this was enough to make her likable, Eri also has one of the best quirks in My Hero Academia, Rewind. To have a child as one of the most potentially powerful characters in the series is insanely cool, but unfortunately, it also drags Eri into a world of trouble at the hands of those who wish to take advantage of her quirk.

Despite being young, Eri has gone through more harm in life than anyone should, which not only makes us cry but also question how old she is exactly. She doesn’t seem tall enough to be a pre-teen, but considering the years of abuse, neglect, and likely malnourishment she endured, some fans have trouble deciphering Eri’s age.

How old is Eri in My Hero Academia?

Eri looking sad while touching her horn in My Hero Academia.
Image via Studio Bones

When she is introduced in My Hero Academia, Eri is six years old. Her birthday is on Dec. 21, which makes her a Sagittarius, according to her character profile in Volume 19 of the manga. Although we don’t see Eri celebrate her birthday on the page, she is currently seven years old in the story. This means that she’s still too young to directly participate in the Final War, but she does manage to crontribute with her quirk indirectly.

While we don’t know if Eri will chose to become a Pro-Hero in the future, there’s no doubt that she will grow up to be a loyal and kind person, and that’s all anyone could ask for.

‘Blue Lock’ season 2 release window and rumors https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/blue-lock-season-2-release-window-and-rumors/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/blue-lock-season-2-release-window-and-rumors/#respond Tue, 07 May 2024 09:55:41 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1621779 Things are heating up as season 2 approaches.]]>

Blue Lock is one of the hottest new sports anime and has been among our favorite soccer anime series since it began airing in late 2022. The first season ended on a suspenseful note in early 2023, but thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer for season 2.

Based on the manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, Blue Lock follows Yoichi Isagi, a high school soccer player who joins the secretive training regimen, Blue Lock. Blue Lock is led by the eccentric coach Ego Jinpachi, who aims to find the best striker for Japan’s national soccer team by taking 300 high school strikers and putting them through a survival boot camp. The manga was first published in 2018 and quickly became popular; Blue Lock was the best-selling manga series in the first half of 2023, according to Anime News Network.

While its premise is more or less grounded in reality, Blue Lock makes each match look like a high-stakes, super-powered bout. The show’s stylized action sequences have not only captured the attention of worldwide audiences but have inspired big-budget Hollywood productions. After the show’s successful first season, viewers are looking forward to Blue Lock‘s highly-anticipated second.

When will season 2 of Blue Lock be released? Blue Lock season 2 release window

Thankfully, a second season of Blue Lock was confirmed shortly after the end of the first season. Not only that but a movie was also confirmed to be in the worksBlue Lock Episode Nagi and Blue Lock season 2 have planned 2024 release dates. While an exact date has not been announced for either project, the team behind Episode Nagi has confirmed the film will premiere in Japan in Spring 2024.

The official Blue Lock Twitter account has now confirmed the second season will come out in October 2024. More details will emerge the closer we get to that date but we can’t wait.

What will season 2 of Blue Lock be about? Plot rumors, explained

Season 1 ended with the main players of the Blue Lock program advancing to the Third Selection. The remaining 35 players will eventually form a team of 11 with the goal of going up against Japan’s U20 team. The stakes are as high as ever; the match will decide whether the Blue Lock program ultimately continues or shuts down.

The first season covered about half of the published manga, so it’s safe to assume the second season will span a similar length. We can hardly wait for Blue Lock to return but until then, we’ll catch up on the other anime in our watch lists!

Is there a ‘My Hero Academia’ season 5 release date on Netflix? https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/is-there-a-my-hero-academia-season-5-release-date-on-netflix/ Mon, 06 May 2024 15:26:58 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1691377 There's nothing Netflix subscribers want more.]]>

If an anime fan told me, in this day and age, that they haven’t heard about My Hero Academia, I would have to assume they have been living under a rock. For years now, this has been one of the most popular Shonen series around the globe, and for good reason.

Since it debuted, Kohei Horikoshi’s story has been entertaining fans with the ups and downs of Izuku Midoriya’s journey to becoming the world’s greatest hero. Of course, Deku has some help getting there, as he goes from a quirkless child to a teenager with one of the best quirks in the My Hero Academia universe. At the end of the day, though, this story is about a lot more than that. With themes of heroism, hope, perseverance, and teamwork at the forefront, the series has gathered the interest of people from all corners of the world.

As a result of this popularity, My Hero Academia has had several different homes outside of Japan. For example, the series has been broadcast on Adult Swim’s Toonami in the U.S., Animax in Southeast Asia, and Cartoon Network in India. When it comes to streaming platforms, though, Crunchyroll and Hulu have always been fans’ go-to. Well, at least that was the case until March 25, 2024, when Netflix decided to compete by adding My Hero Academia seasons 1-4 to its collection.

Now, Netflix subscribers also have the chance to dive headfirst into Kohei Horikoshi’s superhuman world. Once viewers are done binge-watching the first four anime seasons, however, they will naturally want more.

Is My Hero Academia season 5 coming to Netflix?

A Netflix release date for My Hero Academia season 5 has not been announced, and we don’t know if it ever will be. Despite the streaming giant currently hosting the anime’s first four seasons (and some of My Hero Academia‘s movies), there is no guarantee that season 5 will join them. This is disappointing news for fans, to say the least, but they can always hope. Maybe one day season 5 will make its way to the platform, along with the live-action film.

Fortunately, Netflix has plenty of other great anime series to offer, so as subscribers wait for more My Hero Academia content, they should give some of those a shot. Who knows? Maybe they will grow to love those stories just as much as they love Izuku Midoriya’s.

‘Re:Monster’ episode 6 release date and time confirmed https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/remonster-episode-6-release-date-and-time-confirmed/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/remonster-episode-6-release-date-and-time-confirmed/#respond Mon, 06 May 2024 13:45:20 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1691368 Fans haven't got too long to wait!]]>

Re:Monster follows Tomokui Kanata, a former human who meets his untimely end and is reborn as a goblin, the show’s first season has been seeing episodes released on a weekly basis, so when can we expect episode six?

Fans are patiently waiting for the sixth episode

So far we’ve had episodes released every Monday, with the last one dropping on April 29th, so we’re expecting the next part today (May 6th). The new episode is set to broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS11 and TVh channels on Tuesday, May 7th, 12:00 am Japan Standard Time (JST).

It will drop simultaneously on Crunchyroll for international audiences. Taking into account the difference in time zones this translates to 8:00 am PT, 10:00 am CT, 11:00 am ET, 3:00 pm GMT, and 8:30 pm IST, May 6th, so there’s not long to wait at all.

What do we know about the plot of episode six?

So far Re:Monster has made for a pretty good Isekai anime with a familiar plot. Last week saw the story cut off before we could get into the human/elf war so this week we will likely delve into that conflict as we follow the Parabellum Mercenary Company. The episode will supposedly be called Re:Medy and will probably follow the group as they track the human army.

This will take us to the halfway point of the story as the first season is expected to have 12 episodes by the time it’s done according to The Radio Times. So far there hasn’t been any confirmation regarding a second season, it’s likely that the animation studio behind the project, Studio Deen, is waiting to see how this season is received before greenlighting more, although it seems fans are certainly enjoying what they’ve put out so far!

Is the ‘My Hero Academia’ manga ending? https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/manga/is-the-my-hero-academia-manga-ending/ Mon, 06 May 2024 13:07:09 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1691335 Nothing good can last forever.]]>

Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga has been going strong for years, delighting readers with one of the most emotionally charged and enjoyable superhero stories out there.

No, this series doesn’t have the most overpowered characters nor the most gruesome fights in anime or manga. What it does have, though, is heart. At its core, and despite its sometimes darker themes, My Hero Academia is a story about hope and community, which is precisely why folks gravitate toward it. Well, among other things. Horikoshi’s well-written characters, incredible character arcs, and social commentary have also helped make this one of the most popular Shonen series of today. Unfortunately, though, nothing lasts forever.

Of course, some manga and anime can run successfully for decades without people getting tired of them (One Piece is one of the best examples of this.). Most other series, however, don’t have as much story to tell, as is the case with My Hero Academia. In recent years, we’ve seen an increase in rumors and predictions about Izuku Midoriya’s story coming to a close soon, but is there any truth behind the speculation?

When will the My Hero Academia manga end?

Image via Studio Bones

My Hero Academia‘s final chapter has not been announced thus far, so there’s no telling exactly when the manga will end. That said, the finish line isn’t too far away. The series entered its Final Act Saga in 2021 with the Dark Hero Arc, as Kohei Horikoshi set up what would became the biggest confrontation between heroes and villains in the story. Of course, I’m talking about the Final War Arc.

Like its name indicates, this arc marks the beggining of the end for My Hero Academia, as it aimed to resolve the most significant conflicts between several characters. Now, with most of the major battles over, it likely won’t take too long for the manga to conclude. In fact, Horikoshi has affirmed several times in recent years that he plans to wrap up the series soon, but he’s clearly not willing to rush through important events. Taking this into consideration, then, and knowing the author’s usual pacing, it’s safe to say that the My Hero Academia manga may end in 2025.

Although this is understandably sad news for hardcore fans of the manga, it’s worth keeping in mind how dragging a story out too much could ruin it. Eveything has a right time to end, so it’s best to go out on a high note.

Season 7 of My Hero Academia is upon us. The ultimate battle between heroes and villains is about to take place. Speaking of place, are you sure you know where the action of Kohei Horikoshi’s superhero story is set?

By now it should be obvious since it has been mentioned quite often since the first season: My Hero Academia is set in Japan with the great majority of its characters being native Japanese. The real question is, where exactly in Japan is it set?

Throughout the many seasons, we have the mention of a few cities. For instance, the finale of season 4, with the newly crowned Number 1 Pro Hero Endeavor fighting alongside Number 2 Pro Hero Hawks against a High-End Nomu, is set in Kyushu, Hawks’s hometown, which is the third largest island of Japan’s four main islands.

Kyushu is a real location you can actually visit if you wish. However, that is not the case for all the settings in My Hero Academia. Some of them you can only visit in your dreams or by diving into Horikoshi’s story.

Where is the hero school, UA, located?

UA, Uraraka, Sero, Tsuyu
Screengrabs via Bones (Remixed by Margarida Bastos)

While most named locations in My Hero Academia are real, that is not the case for all of them.

The hero school our beloved characters attend is set in Musutafu, a fictional city. In other words, you would not be able to visit it if you tried. However, Musutafu is located in Shizuoka Prefecture, which is a real Prefecture on the coast of Japan near Mount Fuji.

Besides UA, Musutafu is also home to Midoriya’s and Todoroki’s households, as well as the Junior High that Deku and Katsuki Bakugo attended before going on to study at UA.

Now that you are situated, you may jump straight into the climax of this epic hero narrative. My Hero Academia season 7 comes out on Saturdays, with the first episode having aired on May 4.

Harry Potter. The Magicians. My Hero Academia. We could go on, but it’s safe to say there’s no lack of stories about youngsters getting up to adventures in a fantastical school. But, even in this crowded field, Jujutsu Kaisen, stands out.

Premiering in 2020, the story focuses on high school student Yuji Itadori, who becomes cursed and must join the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College – aka Jujutsu High School.

Like many anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen has found its way to US audiences through a few streaming platforms. Season 1 can be found on both Netflix and Hulu, while season 2 remains on Crunchyroll for subscribers. But many may be wondering when the next installment can be expected.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 3

Unfortunately for fans, Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 has not been released in any capacity and there is no release date, but it was confirmed to be in production as of 2023. Judging from this lack of information, we can project that the series will come out in 2025 at the earliest on CrunchyRoll and follow on Netflix at some point afterward.

Until then, fans can relive Yuji’s story as well as view the Jujutsu Kaisen film that came out in 2021. Entitled Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the film is adapted from the manga of the same name and revolves around another sorcerer: Yuta Okkotsu.

Six years after the death of his friend, Rita Orimoto, Yuta is still dealing with the consequences. They had promised to get married one day, and after her death, her spirit clings to the young sorcerer as a protective force. The standalone story was a massive success, earning a Certified Fresh score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. The prequel to the series should whet the appetites of fans yearning for season 3.

According to GamesRadar, season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen will follow the manga story of the Shibuya Incident Arc, where the rogue sorcerer Geto tries to seal the blindfolded icon, Gojo, an authority figure at Jujutsu High. Until the season comes to fruition, however, viewers will have to make do with seasons 1 and 2.

It’s been three years since Beastars season two, and I’m starting to empathize a little too much with Legoshi waiting for Haru to notice him. Except, instead of a rabbit, I’m longing for an anime. Wow, that sounded way less pathetic in my head.

Beastars season one and two covered the first 12 volumes of Paru Itagaki’s manga series. Over the course of its first two seasons, which aired in 2019 and 2021 respectively,  Beastars has carved out a niche for itself with its blend of romance and psychological thriller elements – set against the backdrop of Cherryton Academy, where the student body is quite literally a mixed bag of predators and prey.

For those who need a refresher, we followed Legoshi the grey wolf’s journey who fell for the little rabbit Haru and found himself entangled in the mystery surrounding Tem the alpaca’s death. Oh, and who could forget the intense Shishigumi lion mafia subplot? Season 2 ended with quite the cliffhanger, leaving fans craving more.

When is Beastars season three releasing?

Netflix has already confirmed the Beastars season three 2024 release window, but we don’t have a specific release date. This could be to build anticipation or perhaps to mess with our heads. Probably a bit of both. I know, it’s a tough pill to swallow, but hey, delayed gratification is supposed to be good for us, right? (Says the person who ate a whole pint of ice cream while watching the last season finale).

There are still about ten volumes of the manga left to adapt into the anime, and that’s a lot of content to cover! To do justice to the story, Season 3 is expected to have more episodes than the first two seasons. This means we’ll get half of the season at one point in 2024, followed by the second half later in the year. You can expect more drama, more existential carnivore crises, and hopefully, answers to questions we’ve been gnawing since the first season.

But as much as I’d love to sit here and speculate about what’s to come, I think it’s best to approach Season 3 with an open mind and a sense of excitement. After all, part of the joy of watching anime is being surprised by the unexpected.

Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you could dive into the original manga and get a sneak peek at what’s to come.

‘My Hero Academia’: Star And Stripe’s power, explained https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/my-hero-academia-star-and-stripes-power-explained/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/my-hero-academia-star-and-stripes-power-explained/#respond Sun, 05 May 2024 13:22:00 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1691148 What powers does the world's most powerful woman possess?]]>

My Hero Academia is a Japanese Manga series that spawned a media franchise, including a wildly popular anime television show.

The story of My Hero Academia takes place in a world where superpowers (known as “Quirks” by the characters there) are the norm. However, the story follows a boy called Izuku Midoriya, who was born powerless but still aspires to become a superhero regardless of that. He gets scouted by All Might, the world’s most famous hero, and his dreams are realized.

The series boasts a plethora of intriguing characters, including an American named Cathleen Bate, who goes by the superhero name Star and Stripe. Bate was saved by the above-mentioned All Might as a child, which inspired her to become a hero herself. She boasts one of the series’ most unique, potent, and complex superpowers. But what is that power?

Star and Stripe’s superpower, or “Quirk,” is called “New Order.” It enables her to alter the very fabric of reality by physically touching a chosen subject, saying its name, and declaring a “rule,” causing its physical properties to change. In layman’s terms, she could theoretically touch a block of ice, say the word “fire,” and transmute it into flames.

The power allows her to declare two rules at a time. She applies one of those rules to bestow herself with a superhero’s typical extreme physical strength at all times, which drastically limits what she can do regarding manipulating reality when utilizing the second rule. Thanks to this limitation, if the identity of her target is uncertain, her powers won’t work on them.

Star and Stripe has used the power to order a laser beam to be “holdable,” enabling her to pluck it out of the air before it struck her. She could also suffocate her opponents by stating “air,” which removed the air from the atmosphere in her vicinity.

One of the most creative applications of her Quirk occurred when Star and Stripe set the rule “New Order rebels against other Quirks.” This enabled her to manifest a giant version of herself within the mind of All For One, one of the most powerful villains and the over-arching antagonist in the My Hero Academia universe.

If you’re unfamiliar with My Hero Academia, it’s well worth checking out — fantastic characters like Star and Stripe are a testament to that fact.

‘Low Tide In Twilight’ chapter 88 release date and time, confirmed https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/manga/low-tide-in-twilight-chapter-88-release-date-and-time-confirmed/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/manga/low-tide-in-twilight-chapter-88-release-date-and-time-confirmed/#respond Thu, 02 May 2024 14:26:47 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1690078 Whatever Taeju does, we hope he makes the culprit suffer. ]]>

There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, and for us today, that light is the new chapter of Low Tide in Twilight. It may not feel like it, but it’s been almost a full week since we last saw Euihyun and Taeju on our screens — well, at least for those who read on Bomtoon.

Needless to say, last week’s chapter of Low Tide in Twilight ended in quite a cliffhanger. After a heated and rather intense argument with Yeo Wonyoung, Euihyun ended up needing to take a walk to shake off the hormones she left at his place. Nauseated by the smell, Euihyun didn’t notice he was being followed, and all we see is someone grabbing him in the middle of the street. The chapter then ends with Taeju looking absolutely murderous.

With this completely ravenous Taeju, we can’t help but count the days and minutes until the new chapter. So, let’s go over how long the wait will be.

When is chapter 88 of Low Tide in Twilight coming out?

Chapter 88 of Low Tide in Twilight will be released on Bomtoon on May 3 at 12 a.m. Korean Time. Now, we did expect some sort of wholesome chapter last week, but we couldn’t have been more wrong — leave it to Euja to surprise us time and time again. At this point, we can hardly predict what’s about to happen, other than Taeju vehemently searching for Euihyun.

At the same time, you probably want to catch the chapter as soon as it hits the platform. So if you’re anywhere else in the globe other than South Korea, 12 a.m. KST is probably meaningless, so here’s when the chapter will be available in other time zones.

Time ZoneDateTime
Korean Standard TimeMay 3, 202412:00 a.m. (KST)
Eastern TimeMay 2, 202411:00 a.m. (ET)
Central TimeMay 2, 202410:00 am (CT)
British Summer TimeMay 2, 20244:00 p.m. (BST)
Central European TimeMay 2, 20245:00 p.m. (CET)
Australian Eastern Standard TimeMay 3, 20241:00 a.m. (AEST)
Japanese Standard TimeMay 3, 202412:00 a.m. (JST)

If you’re a Lezhin US reader, keep in mind that this time is exclusive to the South Korean release, which is about five chapters ahead of Lezhin’s. For anyone else in the West who is actively reading on Lezhin US, Chapter 88 will only be available on the platform a few weeks later. Unfortunately, there’s some bad news I must deliver: on Monday, it was announced that Low Tide in Twilight will be going on hiatus until May 6. That means this week, there will be no chapters on Lezhin, but the usual schedule should resume next Monday, picking up from Chapter 83.
