There will never come a time when diehard Harry Potter fans won’t re-watch the beloved classic in its entirety. As a new generation of kids learn about “the boy who lived” and his epic quest to vanquish “He Who Must Not Be Named,” the movies continue to live on beyond their first iteration of fans.

The first book, The Sorcerer’s Stone (or The Philosopher’s Stone in the United Kingdom), was published in 1997, followed by the movie adaptation in 2001. Magic never dies in the Wizarding World, which means this timeless classic will never truly go out of fashion. Whether you want to spend a hot summer afternoon languishing under Mr. and Mrs. Dursley’s windowsill, or enjoy a snowy weekend morning studying for exams with Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the Great Hall, there’s always a time and place for a good ol’ re-watch.

In the past, that hasn’t always been easy. Those who don’t own physical copies of the DVDs or Blu-rays have had to scour several streaming platforms to feast their eyes on all eight films. Over the years, the movies have earned a reputation for apparating from one platform and reappearing on another, and that’s not changing now that a reboot of the series is in development.

Where is Harry Potter streaming?

All aboard! The Hogwarts Express will now be departing Platform 9 3/4 and making its way over to NBC Universal’s streaming platform, Peacock. That’s right — all eight Harry Potter films are under one roof after previously dashing under HBO Max’s invisibility cloak repeatedly through 2022 and 2023.

HBO Max, now shortened to just Max, has sported all of the Harry Potter movies and their add-ons at one point or another, but its hold on the series has been sporadic at best. The films could be found on the streamer as recently as early 2023, but its hold on the story didn’t last long.

Were the Harry Potter movies removed from HBO Max?

The Harry Potter series has been jumping back and forth between Max and Peacock for awhile now, but they seem to be staying put — for now. As of March 2024, the films can no longer be streamed on Max, but there is an upside to Wizarding World subscribers. Max does house all of the Fantastic Beasts films, so — while you can’t catch up with Hermione or Draco on the app — at least you can experience some magic without adding Peacock to your subscription list.

Where to stream all the Harry Potter films in the U.K., Ireland, and Australia

For Potterheads residing in Harry’s homeland, all eight Harry Potter films are available to stream on Netflix in the U.K. and Ireland, according to the official Wizarding World website. As for the Fantastic Beasts franchise, you’ll have better luck with Apple TV and Amazon Prime.

Those living in Australia can stream all eight films on Foxtel, Netflix, and Stan. The two Fantastic Beasts are also available on Netflix, however, the third one is only available on Foxtel.

And on that note, it’s time to summon our popcorn, conjure our butterbeer, and extinguish our illuminating wands by whispering the incantation nox. Shh, the movie’s starting.

Few things in streaming life are more frustrating than being in the middle of watching a movie series that suddenly disappears from the platform. However, that’s exactly what the Wizarding World has gifted us when it comes to the Harry Potter movie series, sending viewers into a Voldemort-like rage that seems to happen multiple times a year.

It’s the first of the month, the single most favorite day for streaming services to play musical chairs, sans the music (or the chairs, for that matter). One frequent victim of that poor analogy is the 8-part Harry Potter movie mega series, which tends to bounce between Peacock and Max every few months, thanks to a deal made between the two.

Where can I watch Harry Potter?

On March 1, 2024, Max casted the vanishing spell on Potter films, which have now reappeared on Peacock, as if Max and Peacock are Vanishing Cabinets for the series.

However, Peacock viewers, don’t get too comfortable, as they will likely find their way back on Max at some point, though exactly when is still a Deathly Hallows-like mystery.

For Max viewers, there is some related content remaining on the platform, such as Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Return to Hogwarts, which is a reunion special put together by HBO, hence why it stays on HBO’s streaming platform, Max. Also remaining is the trivia game show called Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses.

Additionally, the 3-part Fantastic Beasts movie series is still on Max, which also happens to be the platform that announced it’s remaking the Harry Potter tale into a new original series set to premiere in 2026 — and likely not to frequently disappear to another platform.

You might think that in 2024, which marks an incredible 85 years since his comic book debut, every single type of Batman story going has already been told.

Batman if he looked like the guy from American Psycho? They’ve done it. Batman teaming up with two Ezra Millers to talk about spaghetti? For some reason, they’ve done that too. And yet here comes Batman Azteca: Choque De Imperios to prove us wrong and make apparent that there are still fresh takes on the Dark Knight to be explored after all these decades.

A wholly unique DC animated movie, Batman Azteca will move the Caped Crusader out of modern-day Gotham City for once and drop him down into Mesoamerica. With DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran credited as executive producers, the film is believed to be the first of Gunn’s much-touted “Elseworlds” titles, those releases that fall outside of the continuity of the burgeoning DCU to tell self-contained stories set in their own, very different universes.

And Batman Azteca is certainly very different from any other screen iteration of the hero we’ve had so far. Here’s all you need to know about the Central American Batman you never knew you needed.

What is Batman Azteca: Choque De Imperios about?

Batman Azteca promo art

English title Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires, the animated movie was announced back in June 2022, along with the release of some gorgeous promo art which unveiled our first look at the titular twist on the iconic character. As you would expect, Aztec Batman will be a wholly original interpretation of the Bat-Mythos, drawing from both historical events and characters and Mesoamerican mythology to bring its world to life. As the synopsis reads:

“In the time of the Aztec Empire, Yohualli Coatl — a young Aztec boy — experiences tragedy when his father and village leader, Toltecatzin, is murdered by Spanish Conquistadors. Yohualli escapes to Tenochtitlan to warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of imminent danger. Using the temple of Tzinacan, the bat god, as a lair, Yohualli trains with his mentor and assistant, Acatzin, developing equipment and weaponry to confront the Spaniard invasion, protect Moctezuma’s temple, and avenge his father’s death.”

Who is in Batman Azteca: Choque De Imperios?

Yoka/Joker in Batman Azteca

The full cast for Batman Azteca has yet to be revealed at the time of writing, but nonetheless we know who’s playing the titular version of the flying rodent-themed vigilante. Narcos: Mexico star Horacio Garcia Rojas takes the lead as Yohualli while Omar Chaparro (Detective Pikachu) voices Yoka — a character that something tells us is this universe’s variant of the Joker. Álvaro Morte (Money Heist) portrays Two-Face aka real-life figure Hernán Cortés. José Carlos Illanes, meanwhile, voices another actual Spanish conquistador, Pedro de Alvarado (he’ll presumably turn out to be a Batman villain too).

We’re not yet aware who’s voicing Yohualli’s right-hand man, Acatzin, although it’s clear he’s the Aztec answer to Alfred. We also know that the movie will feature the likes of Forest Ivy (Poison Ivy) and Jaguar Woman (Catwoman), but their voice performers have likewise yet to be announced. By the looks of things, though, the film promises to end up with an all-Mexican cast.

Where and when could Batman Azteca: Choque De Imperios release?

Two-Face in Batman: Azteca

Although it is typical for Warner Bros, to release its DC animated movies straight to digital and DVD, Batman Azteca is not a typical animated movie so it is actually being pitched as a streaming exclusive that is on its way to Max. While we don’t yet know exactly when it could arrive, the fact that HBO Max Latin America debuted a first-look image from the film (see the pic at the top of the page) indicates that the most unlikely Batman movie of the year — somehow even more so than dark musical Joker Folie à Deux — could hit streaming sometime in the first half of 2024.

‘The Truth About Jim’: Is Jim Mordecai the Zodiac Killer? https://wegotthiscovered.com/true-crime/the-truth-about-jim-is-jim-mordecai-the-zodiac-killer/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/true-crime/the-truth-about-jim-is-jim-mordecai-the-zodiac-killer/#respond Mon, 26 Feb 2024 09:25:09 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1662589 The insidious legacy of Jim Mordecai lives on as his step-granddaughter investigates his violent crimes. ]]>

The story of the Zodiac Killer is a true crime legend, yet the identity of this notorious murderer remains shrouded in mystery. Now, a new HBO documentary is claiming they may finally have the answer to who the Zodiac Killer was.

The Zodiac Killer is a notorious serial killer who operated in northern California in the 1960s. He terrorized the nation with a string of murders, and cryptic typewritten messages. He sent the letters to the local newspapers, threatening continued violence and taunting investigators to find him.

The Truth About Jim is a new HBO four-part series that focuses on Jim Mordecai, a man who some believe was the true Zodiac Killer. The documentary follows the journey of Jim Mordecai’s step-granddaughter, Sierra Barter, as she delves into the dark family secrets riddled through her family tree. Produced by true crime heavy hitter Skye Borgman, who brought us The Girl In The Picture, Sins Of Our Mother, and Abducted In Plain Sight, the series presents theories that Jim Mordecai may have been more than just an abusive husband and criminal, he may have in fact, been a serial killer.

Who is Jim Mordecai?

Jim Mordecai was a teacher in the San Francisco Bay area. To many, he was a respected educator and member of the community, but to his family, he was something far more sinister. Barter navigates interviews with law enforcement, family members, and others who knew her grandfather, and slowly begins to unravel the dark legacy around Jim Mordecai.

The series revealed Mordecai’s violent behavior towards women and young girls, including physically assaulting his wives and sexually assaulting his 13-year-old stepdaughter, as reported by People. Yet it seems Mordecai’s violent behavior was not limited to only women in his family. He was also known to have assaulted women through the Future Farmers of America organization and others who were close to him. Then, when a string of young women hitchhikers went missing and their remains were subsequently discovered, many signs pointed to Mordecai’s involvement. The group of young women became known as the Santa Rosa Hitchhikers and there were seven in all.

Following Mordecai’s death, the family found a box containing jewelry and other items that seemed to have belonged to the young women. Many serial killers will hold on to “keepsakes” of the victims as momentos, a way to relive their crimes. Mordecai’s family fears that is exactly what they had stumbled across in the box.

Is Jim Mordecai the Zodiac Killer?

While a shocking discovery to say the least, although Mordecai may have indeed been a killer, that does not mean he is the Zodiac Killer. The documentary therefore continues their investigation and finds some striking similarities between the two cases. Mordecai was in the area of the murders, reportedly liked taking long drives, and had the same size shoe as the killer. Sierra Barter, Mordecai’s granddaughter, also felt the physical similarities between the two were significant.

Yet ultimately there seems to be some missing pieces in linking Mordecai to being the Zodiac Killer. For example, all of Mordecai’s known crimes were sexually motivated, while none of the Zodiac Killer’s were reported to be. There is also almost no physical evidence linking him to the crimes or the exact locations. Other theories around the Zodiac Killer do seem far more likely and have far more hard-hitting evidence, even if it is circumstantial.

Mike Butterfield, an expert on the Zodiac Killer, was also interviewed in the documentary and tends to agree that the likelihood of Mordecai being the killer, is low. Yet the possibility of him being responsible for the Santa Rosa Hitchhiking murders is another story entirely.

While Jim Mordecai could hardly be called innocent, it seems likely he’s not guilty on the count of being the Zodiac Killer. While he may be a criminal, a maniac and maybe even a murderer, it does not seem that he is responsible for this particular set of crimes. Yet Sierra Barter has really only just begun her story and with more time and discoveries, she may actually be able to link her step-grandfather, to these terrible crimes, and maybe even more.

The Truth About Jim is now streaming on Max.

With a different result from the 2024 Golden Globes, Feb. 24, 2024, saw Pedro Pascal winning the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Male Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Joel Miller in The Last of Us season 1. His acceptance speech was endearing, even as he was drunk, fumbling a little, claiming he was going to have a panic attack, and tossing an F word out there. You could even see Margot Robbie mouthing “I love him” as his speech concluded (Same, Margot, same).

It’s easy to love the Chilean-born actor. One of the people who love their real-life friendship with Pascal is, unsurprisingly to most, his The Last of Us co-star Bella Ramsey. One of the most memorable and touching points of the series is Ellie’s relationship with Joel, which goes from sour and distant, to a father-daughter bond that is nearly unbreakable. No matter what point Joel and Ellie were in the story, their interactions remained one of the greatest highlights of the show (and the videogame that inspired it). It is all thanks to fantastic onscreen chemistry between the two real-life goofballs.

The difference in age and height of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey

There’s a 28-year difference between the fellow Game of Thrones actors Bella Ramsey is currently 20 years old and Pedro Pascal is 48, turning 49 in early April. Ramsey was born in 2003, and Pascal in 1975.

Another big difference between them is their height. Pascal stands at 5’11 (180cm) and Ramsey is 5’1 (156cm.) This means there’s a 24 centimeters, or about 10 inches, difference in height between the co-stars.

Pedro’s height as seen in The Last of Us even got some fans talking online:

A Season 2 of The Last of Us is on the horizon, although a concrete release date window is yet to be announced. During their appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Ramsey suggested that at the end of 2024, or the beginning of 2025, we might get to see the return of our favorite post-apocalyptic Dad/adopted daughter duo.

Not even nay-sayers or Nic Pizzolatto devotees could rain on Issa López’s parade after, despite the controversy, HBO renewed True Detective for a new season, with the Night Country showrunner set to return. After López took over from the Italian-American series creator Pizzolatto as the showrunner for Night Country, it didn’t take long for it to become the latest entry in the canon of unreasonably targeted and hated female-led projects in male-dominated spaces.

The first season of True Detective might be worshipped among a certain best-avoided subsection of male social media users, but López’s Night Country broke all the viewership records, beating the likes of Succession, Tokyo Vice, and Young Sheldon to the top spot of Max’s most-streamed shows globally, per FlixPatrol. Season 4 drew in 12.7 million cross-platform viewers to become the show’s most-watched installment to date, Variety reported. It has spent 23 days on FlixPatrol’s Max Top 10, taking the first-place crown in over 40 countries.

Night Country stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis as Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro, who investigate the disappearance of eight men from a research station in the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska. Following the first episode’s release on Jan. 14, numerous half-star and one-star reviews flooded the show’s Rotten Tomatoes page, among many other, much more positive comments, leading López to accuse haters of an attempt to sabotage her season. The excessive backlash found online despite a harmless, if imperfect, season backs the showrunner’s accusations.

Meanwhile, Pizzolatto was ungracefully stoking the fire on his Instagram page by sharing some shockingly destructive rants about López’s season. “Just want to send love to Nic Pizzolatto. I can only imagine how it feels to have his all-time classic dialogue butchered and misappropriated like it was last night. (…) So insulting calling it True Detective,” one of them said.

The season’s 92 percent critical Rotten Tomatoes score, based on 190 professional reviews, begs to differ. Season 2, written by Pizzolatto, and largely considered the show’s weakest, sits at 47 percent. Unlike its Alaskan setting, Night Country was warmly received by the majority of viewers.

True Detective: Night Country is available to stream in full now on Max.

Tokyo Vice is often branded as the best show you’re not watching. Despite being a star-studded project from a major streaming platform, it’s not received as much mainstream attention as one would expect. The acclaim, however, has been coming in spades since the first season premiered in April of 2022.

Swiftly renewed for a second season, the crime drama hit the ground running and new episodes were ready to air by February 2024. With season two underway, when can you expect the new episodes?

What is Tokyo Vice about?

Tokyo Vice is a fictionalized adaptation of Jake Aldelstein’s 2009 memoir of the same title about his time as a crime reporter in Tokyo and Saitama in the 1990s. The show is primarily based in the former with Ansel Elgort taking on the role of Jake, the first foreign journalist to join the staff of a major Japanese newspaper. He forges a relationship with Hiroto Katagiri (played by Japanese film legend Ken Watanabe), a police detective in the organized crime division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, as he delves deeper into the perilous world of the yakuza.

The first American show shot entirely in Japan, Tokyo Vice merges the worlds of journalism, the police, the yakuza, and the nightclub scene with Show Kasamatsu playing young mobster Akiro Sato, and Rachel Keller playing hostess Samantha Porter.

Season two of Tokyo Vice picks up right where season one left off, taking the first episode to tie up loose ends and provide answers for the many cliffhangers from the finale. A three-month time jump ahead of season two’s second episode sees the core characters forever changed by the events of the first season and headed into new ground and new challenges.

The season is described by creator J.T. Rogers and director Alan Poul as a chess match for audiences, which expands its predecessor even deeper into the city of Tokyo. “Our paradigm was ‘Crossing the Rubicon.’ The river that must be crossed. What am I willing to do to help keep alive the people I love? And what does that leave me at?,” Rogers shared in a season 2 featurette.

As technology has ramped up in recent years, so too has the fad of internet sleuthing. This phenomenon is the main focus of a true crime documentary about the web sleuth community’s obsession with finding the identity of a dead hiker. Max’s They Called Him Mostly Harmless was an enigma from the beginning. The film covers the discovery of the titular hiker whose death was surrounded by mysterious circumstances.

After fellow trail aficionados found the remains of an emancipated corpse, authorities tried to find out the identity of the body. Many hikers knew of the man, but only by his trail names Denim or Mostly Harmless. Very quickly, police realized that the man had gone out of his way to obscure his identity.

Mostly Harmless was cautious to reveal his name to anyone and he had no digital footprint to speak of. No signs pointed to foul play in his death in the documentary, but internet sleuths desperately wanted to find the deceased’s name. As with many stories of this amateur community, things went too far. In one instance, sleuths became convinced that a blogger who went under the name of Ben Reynolds was Mostly Harmless and harassed him mercilessly, even when he revealed he was still alive.

Ultimately, the case came to an anticlimactic end when sleuths discovered that Mostly Harmless’ given name was Vance Rodriguez from Louisiana. Once this discovery came about, it appeared that Rodriguez was not in fact “mostly harmless.” Fellow hikers were shocked to discover that Rodriguez had a history of brutality and abusing romantic partners.

We may never have all the facts, but many believe Rodriguez intentionally went off the grid and ultimately elected to end his life. Some got a sense of closure after this information became public, including a Facebook group moderator, Christie Harris. The self-identified sleuth felt defined by the case and did not regret pushing the issue of Rodriguez’s identification. But even as the Mostly Harmless case found a somewhat cut-and-dry conclusion, the same cannot be said about Tabitha.

Who is Tabitha in They Called Him Mostly Harmless?

they called him mostly harmless christie

They Called Him Mostly Harmless doesn’t end exactly how you would expect. After revealing that Rodriguez struggled with mental illness practically his entire life, that should have been the resolute conclusion. But with all the subtlety of a Marvel end-credit sequence, the documentary inserts a coda for Harris’ story.

During filming, Harris picks up a call with troubling news. Breaking down into tears, she informs the camera crew about the decapitation of a woman named Tabitha. If you are confused as to exactly who Tabitha is and how she is relevant to this story, you’re not the only one. She was not a focal point of the film, and many similarly confused viewers took to Reddit to understand how she factored into They Called Him Mostly Harmless. Even more bizarre, no one could verify the existence of this woman other than what Harris said in the documentary. Redditors went around in circles, trying to make sense of what the end of the documentary meant.

The film leaves many in a state of perplexity. Rodriguez’s story has a sense of uncomfortable voyeurism. An entire community made it their business to invade the life of someone who very clearly wanted to be left alone. They didn’t care who they hurt while doing it, having all the tact of a wrecking ball.

They Called Him Mostly Harmless raises some very important questions about the ethics of internet sleuthing and if they do any good at all. The question of who Tabitha is supports this perspective even further. Harris seems intent on following this new case about Tabitha even when there is very little information about her. Since the documentary was released, no confirmation has been released about this supposed case. Who is Tabitha? It’s probably best that we don’t know and let this alleged mystery remain in the hands of the professionals. Something that web sleuths are determined not to do.

Is ‘Ninja Kamui’ on Crunchyroll? https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/is-ninja-kamui-on-crunchyroll/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/is-ninja-kamui-on-crunchyroll/#respond Sun, 18 Feb 2024 18:07:41 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1661224 Are all good anime only on Crunchyroll?]]>

Every otaku knows the feeling of burnout from decades-long running anime when the stories progress only an hour every week. Luckily for all of us, a brand-new anime has made the month of love a little more happening.

Ninja Kamui, an original new anime series, has debuted, bringing violent action and intriguing mystery to the screens. Though a Japanese series, the tale of Ninja Kamui goes into the depths of rural America and presents the life of a brutal ninja warrior seeking vengeance. It follows a runway ninja Joe Higan on a mission to exact a bloody revenge on his former ninja clan for the murder of his wife and children.

Without giving away too much of the story, Ninja Kamui is the perfect fast-paced revenge saga of a man with ancient techniques facing modern high-tech weaponry with brutal finesse. The series’ protagonist Joe Higan is growing increasingly popular as “the ninja version of John Wick.” If that’s your vibe, you have the perfect entertainment planned for the next two months.

The only question now is, where can you watch it?

Is Ninja Kamui on Crunchyroll?

Directed by the Jujutsu Kaisen mastermind Sunghoo Park, Ninja Kamui debuted in the United States on Adult Swim‘s Toonami programming block on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. The series is produced by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment, and licensed for distribution by Warner Bros. Television. If you’re quick at making connections, then the licensing by Warner Bros. must’ve made it clear that Ninja Kamui won’t be available on Crunchyroll.

Instead, Ninja Kamui found its home on Cartoon Network’s programming block broadcast Adult Swim. The block generally features various anime and live-action series targeting an adult audience including original programming. Every actor confirmed for ‘The White Lotus’ season 3 so far https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/every-actor-confirmed-for-the-white-lotus-season-3-so-far/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/every-actor-confirmed-for-the-white-lotus-season-3-so-far/#respond Tue, 13 Feb 2024 19:51:06 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1647491 The beloved HBO series is shaping up to have a great third season thanks to this incredible cast.]]>

As far as anthology series go, The White Lotus might just be at the top of the pile when it comes to quality.

The HBO show, known for its gorgeous sets and centred around the eponymous chain of high-end resorts in exotic locations, has seen some incredible actors in its previous two seasons. From Aubrey Plaza to Michael Imperioli and, of course, the effervescent Jennifer Coolidge, the series never fails when it comes to casting.

Although each season so far has had different plot points, overall the show has done a great job of touching on things like class barriers, the intoxicating dangers of wealth, and the unhealthy relationship dynamics that form when there’s a massive disparity between incomes. The third season is likely to cover similar ground.

Filming is set to begin in Thailand in February 2024, but we still don’t know too much about the plot of the newest installment, other than where the action will take place. We do, however, know many of the big names that will be taking part in season 3 of The White Lotus, and boy, have the casting directors delivered again.

Looking forward to seeing what series creator Mike White has in store for us, and want to know more about the cast he’s gathered for the newest installment of his black comedy drama? Here’s every actor confirmed for The White Lotus season 3 so far!

Carrie Coon

Coon is the latest actor to be confirmed as a season 3 cast member, with HBO announcing her involvement on Jan. 10 2024. The Boston Strangler, Fargo and The Gilded Age star has oodles of talent, and the announcement had The White Lotus fans jumping for joy. Given her performances in The Gilded Age, we’re sure she’s well prepared to take on the part of a wealthy guest at The White Lotus.

Leslie Bibb

The Christine Everhart actress seems to be making a habit of playing characters in shows that tackle class divides, as she is also set to have a major part in the soon-to-be-released Palm Royale. Her resume speaks for itself, and she has lots of comedic experience that will undoubtedly come in handy in her role in The White Lotus season 3.

Jason Isaacs

Internationally, Isaacs is probably best known for his turn as the slimy Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series. The talented actor has some pretty impressive achievements in his career, which spans both the stage and screen, and has been in beloved, critically acclaimed productions like Black Hawk Down and The Death of Stalin. We’re sure his gravitas will come in handy here, as will his cut-glass English accent, which just oozes wealth.

Parker Posey

Indie queen Parker Posey (not the gross bigot who seems to have stolen her name) hasn’t just been in small, artsy productions as many people assume. One of her earliest roles was in Dazed and Confused, she was in Scream 3, and even had that most coveted marker of mainstream acceptance: A voiceover role in The Simpsons. The talented performer is sure to be captivating no matter what her role in season 3 of The White Lotus is.

The Thai heartthrob is very much under the radar at the moment, but that’s all set to change when season 3 of The White Lotus is released. He’s had some small roles in a few movies, including a TV miniseries about the famous Thai cave rescue that should have signalled just how stupid Elon Musk was to anybody with a brain.

Dom Hetrakul

Hetrakul is a Thai-born actor and has made several films and shows in his native land. This would be his first major Western production, but he’s not exactly a newbie, so we’re certain he’ll put on a great show.

Natasha Rothwell

The White Lotus season 1 fan favorite Natasha Rothwell is set to reprise her role as massage therapist Belinda. She was nominated for an Emmy when she last played the part, so it’s fair to expect another outstanding performance.

As the only actor whose character we currently know, we can speculate a little about what might happen to Belinda in this third season. A solid guess is that she’s been transferred to Thailand after her stint in Hawaii, where she met and was ultimately disappointed by Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya. Audiences will be hopeful that she’s finally received the promotions and respect she deserves, but given that this is The White Lotus universe, where talent takes a backseat to wealth, it’s unlikely.

Michelle Monaghan

Monaghan’s most famous HBO role was in the critically acclaimed first season of True Detective, for which she was nominated for a boatload of awards, including a Golden Globe. We’re sure that the Mission: Impossible actress will keep up the quality in whatever role she’s taken on for season 3 of The White Lotus.

Lisa Manobal

Thai-born K-Pop icon Lisa has been confirmed by Variety to have a part in season 3. As with the others, her exact role isn’t confirmed. This will be her first acting role, but given her band Blackpink is one of the most successful in the world, we don’t think she’ll be that phased.

Who else has been confirmed as part of the cast for White Lotus season 3?

The huge ensemble cast for season 3 is also confirmed to include the following names:

Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Sam Nivola, Sarah Catherine Hook, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O’Reilly, Natasha Rothwell, Lek Patravadi, Scott Glenn, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, and Shalini Peiris.

Will there be a ‘Ninja Kamui’ release date on Netflix? https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/will-there-be-a-ninja-kamui-release-date-on-netflix/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/will-there-be-a-ninja-kamui-release-date-on-netflix/#respond Tue, 13 Feb 2024 17:59:08 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1659270 The latest anime from Sunghoo Park, the man who brought us the much beloved Jujutsu Kaisen anime, Premiered on Adult Swim’s Toonami block on Saturday. However, there is hope that Ninja Kamui will soon be given a release date on Netflix to allow more fans the opportunity to watch it.

Despite there only being one episode out at the moment, the Japanese anime has wowed viewers with its vicious action and intriguing plot; fans are already excited for the next episode. It follows former ninja Joe Higan on his bloody quest to avenge his family who were targeted by a group of assassins. Naturally, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the anime thanks to the people involved, and it certainly seems to be delivering on the hype. The trailer alone shows wild action and tons of blood, it’s enough to make anyone want to watch!

Will Ninja Kamui get a Netflix release date?

Unfortunately there hasn’t been any confirmation on when the anime could see a release on the popular streaming service, if it does at all. It’s very possible that Netflix won’t pick up the show with Park’s previous anime, Jujutsu Kaisen, also being missing from the large library of anime that is offered there, (although it is available on Netflix Japan).

If you’re desperate to watch it then your best bet is Adult Swim, although outside of the U.S., you can catch each episode on Max after its initial broadcast. Regardless, we’ll keep this page updated regarding any news on whether the hit anime receives a release date for Netflix.

‘Fionna and Cake’ season 2 release window, cast, and more https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/fionna-and-cake-season-2-release-window-cast-and-more/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/fionna-and-cake-season-2-release-window-cast-and-more/#respond Tue, 13 Feb 2024 10:34:29 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1659027 The fun (literally) never ends!]]>

Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake is making a comeback on Max! That’s right! The fearless Fionna and her trusty sidekick, Cake, will be navigating through some new territory in season 2. Remarkably, season 1 managed to round out the story for a bittersweet end. However, this didn’t stop the clamoring for a second season, which was backed by a solid critical and commercial reception. Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming second season.

Season 1’s reception

Season 1 of Fionna and Cake was praised for its mature take on the Adventure Time narrative, effectively showing it had evolved along with its audience. Across the 10-episode series, viewers accompany the trio of Simon (the former Ice King), Fionna, and Cake on a quest to restore magic to their world. Still, at its core, the show is a beautiful exploration of themes of self-discovery, woven intricately throughout the narrative. Moreover, much like Adventure Time, Fionna and Cake transports audiences to fresh multiverses, delivering rich layers of charm, fun, and heart-filled stories. That’s why the anticipation for where the journey goes next is palpable.

When is the new season of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake coming?

There is currently no known official premiere date for Season 2 of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake. However, considering the timeline of the first season, which took two years to debut after its announcement, a reasonable estimate would place the Season 2 premiere in the early to mid-2025 period. Luckily the show had a satisfying finale for most fans who were willing to bid Fionna and Cake a partial goodbye, until the announcement of a second season.

The cast

Madeleine Martin and Roz Ryan will reprise their roles as Fionna Cake, alongside Tom Kenny as Simon Petrikov, Donald Glover as Marshall Lee, Andrew Rannells as Gary Prince, Sean Rohani as Prismo, and Kayleigh McKee as the Scarab. Fans also lauded the return of cherished characters from the original Adventure Time, including: Marceline the Vampire Queen (Olivia Olson), Princess Bubblegum (Hynden Walch), and of course, Finn (Jeremy Shada), and Jake the dog (John DiMaggio). It’s expected that all the characters will return for season 2 of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake.

What to expect from season 2?

Season 1 wrapped up with Fionna and Cake all geared up and ready for more adventures. However, Fionna was plunged into an identity crisis after Scarab disclosed to her that her home universe was basically “an abomination.” Therefore, it looks like season 2 is going to be all about Fionna coming to terms with this bombshell, and the changes that result from it.

There were also a number of loose ends from season 1, such as the missing identity of the “big boss” behind Prismo. In classic Adventure Time fashion, fans have begun buzzing with theories. Nonetheless, perhaps the only agreement with all these theories is that the mystery character is going to be a game-changer for Fionna and Cake season 2. There is also the obviously consequential decision by some of Fionna and Cake’s companions to remain in Fionna-world. This was implied when Scarab’s investigation hinted that the universe could still be in hot water.

There will also be a few changes behind the scenes. It has long been revealed that Fionna and Cake’s executive producers Fred Seibert and Sam Register would be joined by Adam Muto as both showrunner and producer for the new season. However, production of the Max Original willl still be done in collaboration with Cartoon Network, as it was before.
