Thanks to the prequel episodes 1029 and 1030, One Piece Film: Red now has a perfect place in our watch order. These two episodes set the stage for the movie in a series of flashbacks so you’re going to be able to ride right on into the film by checking these out first.

If it wasn’t already obvious, Netflix’s live-action One Piece series doesn’t fit in the watch order at all. The show is based on the same manga but is not the same story. You can make up your mind about whether or not you’d like to add it in, but it is by no means necessary. If you do add it, this will go at the start too.
How to catch up with One Piece
Now is the perfect time to catch up on the show as the Wano arc wraps up and we get some of the manga’s biggest moments brought to your screen. You’ve got plenty to binge through now, but the One Piece universe is always expanding, so if you’re looking to get all caught up you’ll want to start as soon as you can.
Fortunately, there are plenty of filler guides out there to cut down some time and even the controversial One Pace edit that shortens each episode of the show. It’s up to you if you use these, but following the order above will set you up for success.
